I was selling a phone recently and listed it a few times to try and get a buyer that sounded genuine. The amount of crap that I got was incredible, including the obvious scams and people that hadn't read the ad.
The best one was someone who wanted a discount because he lived in Camden and it would cost him 30 quid to get to me apparently. Firstly it would be the cost of a tube ticket, and secondly why did he think I would give a fuck how much it cost him. The location was on the advert, fucking prick.

Had the same..... I bloke wanted me to knock a tenner off a camera cos that it what it would cost him to get from Ipswich to Felixstowe and back again.....
Told him to go fuck
I posted a few ads earlier for some things I want to clear out and generally goes ok but get a few numpties and scammers at times. I've shortly had to edit one for an old PS1 to make it a bit more clear as I'd had a couple of emails asking if it would play COD etc.:

Something I learnt years ago when buying and selling cars, the people who paid money to advertise in or paid to purchase a copy of autotrader tended to be serious buyers/sellers. Free ads in loot would normally attract at least 5 timewasters for every 1 proper enquiry.
Gumtree seems to have replaced loot as the free ad service primarily used by retards.
no buying selling outside BST
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
creatures”
ive sold a few things on gumtree, but i have camera in a good few rooms and i always ask them to smile for the camera
I have bought and sold a few phones on gumtree. I always tell them we gotta meet at their hours and i want ID if its a pricey item. I recently sold my VW golf on it but i did have to pay to do so .
