personally I have never had any problems with BB and its sad that after putting in so much work to keep the site operating he is being pushed out by a few individuals who deserve a lifetime ban.

Sad Loss of a Brother, I can call you a friend although ive never met you. You have been fair and just and I have always looked up to you. You Helped make Df a place of respect. I see things have been going steady downhill for a while now, maybe its the sign of the times who knows. But if we loose people like BB things will not as much fun and moderated as good

It probably is a sign of the times because little nobheads who wants radio codes or the like hear about their mate's mate doing it and driving around in a fucking Subaru Impreza with the easy money they've made. They get home, they Google for it because they think its easy, they want to be spoon fed everything and then they end up in forums like this and they piss people off. They want to be in, leech and then back out and coining it in peddling their warez! They have no interest in the scene or the community.

It is annoying and it is painful. It pisses me off and I'm not a mod. Sometimes its funny but at the same time the majority of us appreciate that that shit isn't the primary reason that the mods / admin are here.

Unfortunately 'the net' has been like this now for years. Torrents and ease of access to Usenet helped fuel it. Now people just see the net and everything on it as a big free for all. I used to run an FXP board and was admin / mod on quite a few others and it was the same then. Even in the BBS days.

Don't let the tossers spoil it for you. If it is then a backseat for a while is all that's needed.

Besides, BB would miss our moans and constant profanity too much to leave

I'll simply say, BB stay on.

People are always fu(king idiots but keyboard warriors are far worse. Just ban the pricks who piss you off at least then you only have to deal with the real life idiots....

That said if it is causing you that much pain it may be wise to take a break and weigh up your options. I don't post much here but I do read most of it and can say the place is better with you here.

BB is a top guy and I'm sure after a few weeks or so he will realise how much he's missed and come back.

I can always remember BB to be firm but fair any time issues have come up here.

I also have really come to admire his ability to analyse current new/politics and cut straight through the crap.

Can't quite put my finger on why, but of all the people I've ever met but not met on the internet, I can't think of any I respect more than BB.
