Not much to say other than bb worked he bollocks off to keep everything running smoothly here, he was always incredibly fair even after putting up with shit and offered great insight into news articles etc. I was fortunate enough to have some beers with him on one of the meets and just hope he hangs around.

Not much else to really say that's not already been said.

Baldy has clearly commited a lot of time and effort in to this place over the many years he's been here. He knows his stuff, and it's a real shame to hear he's had to step down. I, like all the staff hope he will continue to be about in the background to advise us still. And hopefully he will still frequent the boards as VIP.

We as DF will continue, but we will always be a "man down" from now.

If it wasn't for volunteers on this forum, and indeed in many walks of life, nothing would ever get done.

The whingers and whiners should get off their fundamental orifices and actually make a positive contribution and I feel really sad that the behaviour of a few has so dispirited a volunteer.

So long, BB, and thanks for all the fish (to coin a phrase), I hope you will be back after a sabbatical.

I dont get here as much these days as i used to, and have never had any problems with BB,but he will be missed.

As I have said in a previous thread: As an admin there will be times when you feel you are banging your head against a brick wall. A busy popular forum like DF can end up taking over your life as a member let alone as an admin. Believe me I know from experience. I also know from experience that no matter how much effort you put in there will always be people who will feel the need to have a pop at you for some decision or action you have taken. They forget that your decisions are based on many years of experience in the job.

No disrespect to any of the other admins but I don't think this forum would be what it is if it wasn't for your influence. I have always seen you as the head administrator if that makes sense. Maybe its the way you deal with things, your professional presence that commands respect.
It's a thankless job but I want to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU for, among other things, your time, your effort, your patience and your fair mindedness in making this forum a great place to be.

I hope, after a well earned break, that you do reconsider taking up the position again because in all honesty NOBODY DOES IT BETTER. (">

I too, don't hang around here or anywhere else as much as I used too. Life got in the way lol.
I do however know how much work (usually thankless) that goes into forums.

Sorry to see BB stepping down, I hope he does continue to visit us though and I do believe most members will still
give him the respect he deserves, after all as admin he gave respect to the members who he dealt with and was at the same
time helpful and fair.

I have been around here for a few years now and he is part of the furniture so to speak, good luck to you BB and I am sure
you will always pop in and we will hope you can now relax and chill out with us all.
