Thanks for all the comments, I had to double check to see I hadn't died as it is a bit like an obituary I will still be around as VIP just need to focus more on projects I have running and ones that have been on the back burner way too long.

You have a great team of staff and unlike years gone by there is no in house bitching which helps them work together, for me the fun/enjoyment had gone out of it and that has always been my reason for doing it, this is not something I have decided on a whim I have been considering stepping down for a long time as I am sick of having every decision questioned and answer argued when you are either trying to keep members aware of what is going on or acting on other members complaints this just made me decide I have more self serving things I could and should be doing.

As I say I will be around, I'm not dead or dying (as far as I am aware) and will continue to post.

Had the pleasure of meeting BB a couple of times, a while back, also spent a good few hours on COD in the days of the 'League'
Can honestly say he has earned his respect on here, certainly opened my eyes with his views on social and political matters.
As has been said many times, stick around if you can, your input often makes for interesting reading.

I've always enjoyed reading your contributions BB, some I've agreed with, some not so much, but that's what makes this place interesting. If we all agreed we would be boring. It is a sad state of affairs when you have to step down due to some idiots, especially when you are doing what you do voluntarily. I hope that you will still be contributing as it would be a massive loss to DF if you were to walk away completely.

Only been a member for a week or so so find it a bit hard to know what to say other than GRAB YOUR NUTSACK AND GET BACK AS ADMIN NOW! Chin up BB, forums are all about info, help, moaning and groaning but it must be a pain in the rear but I'm just a bit puzzled as to what he means by "Whine and complain?" Is it people complaining about things in life such as politics, dodgy bankers, crap games, getting their free*cough digi TV turned off etc or is it a total different type of moaning thats made him stop being Admin?

Well thanks Rap.. The way the original post topic was written made me think poor old BB had popped his cloggs .... Had to double check on IRC. (Heart nearly dropped)

Sorry to see you had to take this action BB but your own sanity and well being come first. Knowing you on IRC and xbox live and know you can be a right grumpy old so and so (Victor meldrew springs to mind especially when Black Belt nicks your kills )

But should have been the moaning few who should have taken the bullet not you.

Being an admin is a thankless task most of the time and a lot of work goes on behind the scenes that a lot of people don't know or would understand...... Rap must feel like he has lost his right hand.
(wonder if you would consider a freelance admin role )

Hope you stay on and post bollocks like the rest of us and some day feel the need to kick, ban, change avatars & Signatures once more..
