    Default Replacing an LCD screen.

I've got a broken screen on my Acer V370. I've managed to source a replacement screen and spent half an hour taking it to pieces only to find it looks as though I need to go in through the front. I've managed to find a tutorial (in French) which looks as though I need to use a hair drier to heat it first before removing it. Anyone had any experience doing this? Is it easy to do?

    Thanks

Default Re: Replacing an LCD screen.

I had to do a similar repair on a Huawei ascend G300, it looks more daunting than it is. Once the broken screen/digitizer is nice and warm it comes away pretty easily. The only problem I had was that the replacement screen didn't come with the double sided tape that bonds it to the case. I had to buy that separately.
