    Default Motion detection

Does anyone have any experience with motion detection on a DSLR? I need to shoot some repetitive action shots and want to automate the shooting process. Basically a trigger that detects movement in its field of view and then fires the shutter.

If your DSLR can run magic lantern that's your best option.

Alternatively there are off the shelf hardware options out there but I don't have any personal knowledge of them.
