Wanker Yanks and their love/hate relationship with Europe

I don't know whether this is the most annoying, arrogant advert ever made, or pure genius?

Either way I'll take an extra 2 weeks of vacation over a Cadillac any day of the week.

America thinks its the dog bollocks and in the not too distant future 1 of the other big countries like China Russia will make them see that they are not.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”

but who cares, the only people who take americans seriously is other americans.
I know many americans and some are great, but I know a fair few who take themselves far too seriously and thats something that we are very very good at, taking the piss out of ourselves, its an amazing trait to have and they dont have it at all.
I would also say that the advert was more aimed towards the French/Spanish and Italian regions when they say its laid back. The UK doesnt even close for Bank Holidays anymore and the supermarkets are 24/7 so dont get that. Id say our work ethic is just as high as theres if not higher and we do a lot of things the hard way. The germans and russians however are in a league of their own when it comes to efficiency.

    Thanks to Lighty

What I find so troubling about the advert is not the veiled attack on Europe, but the fact that it shamelessly promotes the idea that you should work yourself into the ground, to hell with family time.. just so you can afford an overpriced heap of shit. There aren't many people who on their deathbeds wish they had spent more time accumulating wealth.

I'm fine with it. I get 7 weeks of holiday a year. Drive a car considerably better than a Cadillac and try to keep my work day at 8 hours. (Although I have only achieved this once in the last month - due to a major project)

I shouldn't worry about it. It was dreamt up by an advertising executive. They are the most vacuous and emptiest of empty suits. When I look at advertising or meet anyone who works in advertising, I just think of Bill Hicks....................

Haven't watched the ad (because I haven't got speakers hooked up to my pc atm), but some of the sentiment reminds me a lot of a Merc S Class brochure I once looked at.

You could tell it was aimed at business owners working heavy hours and it basically saying to these people they work hard so deserve the S.

A V6. I'd hate to be you. Such a small engine. No wonder the Americans are laughing at Europe. I bet it's a Diesel too.

lol I especially like his statement about them "leaving a car up on the moon with the keys in as they are the only ones who are going back up there" the USA dont have any plans to return there and the Chinese will be the next to set foot up there.

The ad wasn't as abrasive as I was expecting given the comments. If anyone but America made it I would assume its tongue in cheek, but I don't think that works in American humour. And fuck you google spell check, It's humour, not humor.
