Among the fields of Gold... (Muker, North Yorkshire).
Drive on from Dent & Dent Railway, Dentdale in North Yorkshire for about 15 miles or so, and you'll find the village of Muker - the place of fantastic wildflowers in the summer, and the wonderful stone byres synonymous with the Yorkshire Dales.
The weather was not as bright and sunny as I had hoped, and the wind got up quite a bit more than I expected it too as well, but still, a lovely walk through the flower filled countryside took place... Here you will see the splendid scenery, some rabbits and sheep, and the last couple are of an Muker Man, long beard, weather-beaten face and comfy country clothing, and the idyllic, albeit poor looking cottage in which he resides, in the village of Muker.
This little village 20 miles or so east of Ingleton attracts thousands of visitors annually, with the sole purpose of walking down the paths between the fields of gold.
Buttercups, clover, wildflowers & Byres
The wildlife occasionally have a look at the photographers...
The locals have been there as long as the hills themselves it seems...
And the cottages built around them...
