Is it not a bit wiered that he's being filmed from two different angles, ie. two other ppl were there filming too? Nice if its not fake.

Be even nicer if he didnt film it at all and just did it out of the goodness of his heart, instead of filing it to show what a great guy he is, upload it to youtube and make his money back tenfold in hits

End of the day the magician guy is probably loaded, and the homeless guy regardless of wether or not it was sincere or not got a thousand bucks so I dont see the problem, he thinks its a winning ticket, maybe it was easier that way than just saying here do you want a $1000 ?? Just to get the reaction, at least in the homeless guys head now he thinks there are some really decent people knocking about and might shape his opinions in the future.

They did a part two of this, after the homeless guy tried to give back most of the money and showed he's true kind hearted nature they set up a donation page which got enough money to rent and furnish a house for this guy and allow him to get back on his feet and earn a living for himself. I know its not going to solve the worlds problems but its a nice story for one guy.
