xbox one and media player

Hey

I'm on the verge of getting a XO, just wanted to know what the score is with regards media players.

Do they play everything you can throw at them?

I presume that they can connect to a network / NAS drive and play content off there?

Any info welcomed!

Not really, at the moment you can only push stuff from your pc / laptop to the xbox one using the sent to type commands.

Not aware of any other way to do it or if it even supports media centre extension?

I think Plex will be coming to the XBOX One, not sure when though.
