Default Removal of kitchen tap... strange fitting?

Never seen this type of fitting on a tap.. most of the ones I have removed are just a basic nut from underneath , easily removed with a tap wrench..

This is obviously shot looking up from underneath. Looks almost bent and warped...

Any ideas how to remove this? The flathead looking part doesnt unscrew...
