Default Accurate pc software/application for look up for named docs

I have a good 1500 photos which are all named differently, such as..
1782 Enjoy Mr Alton Tower (2)
    ThorpPark_Mrs0751
    BridgeLondon 2 4162
Now when using the regular search box on windows 7 ….

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

……….I cannot secure 100% percent accuracy, for example when searching for Alton it will result in NO items match your search. The docs are all JPEG and I need an app which is fast and accurate, do you guys know of one that I could use that you can recommend?

    Thank you.

Have you tried using an asterisk? (i.e., *Alton)

    Thanks to pattikins

Picasa is pretty good at organising photos, but as pattikins says, search for Alton using asterix/wild card.... *alton* should find the lot.
