Has anyone else tried using waterless wash & wax?
I bought some from Aldi last year and I've used it on my previous car and my new one. I think it's great. The first common sense thought is that it must just swirl the dirt all over the car and leave scratches. Well in my experience there's no cause for concern. I cleaned my new car with it on Wednesday and then it's so easy to spot clean any new bird crap that gets on the paintwork on subsequent days, I did it on Thursday evening in about three minutes as soon as I got home from work.
As far as I'm aware the product has a surfactant and a lubricant in it. When I first start wiping there is a little bit of resistance from the surface which goes completely after one pass. After cleaning a panel at a time (or whatever) there's a chalky residue like you get with a polymer resin polish. Buff this off with a tea towel and it leaves a silky feeling surface that water beads on.
Start at the top & work down (like a regular wash) and then use a separate cloth for the sills & wheels.
Couldn't be happier and I will use it for a few washes then use water, chamois and a nano wax.
Let me know what you think.
