Default Windows update/Malwerebytes = f*cked system. What operating system after format?

    Hi,

Either one of these possibly both have completely f*cked my system. Thirteen hours in and I am still trying to back up less than 50gb of stuff.

After a full format which operating system would you advice installing? I was going to try Linux but I need adobe software :/

    Windows 8.x or?

I've updated all my machines to 8.1 now. Like others I used to hate it but it's very stable, boots up damned quick and feels very nice now.

I'd go Linux then use VirtualBox if you absolutely have to use Adobe.

Which distro? I don't want to be messing around with it for hours.

    Ubuntu or Mint.
Only thing to say is Ubuntu uses Unity by default now, and it's not for everybody.
Mint (based on Ubuntu) uses Cinnamon, which is a more classic Desktop.
Personally I'd go Ubuntu and install Cinnamon.

im running Windows 8.1 and cant recommend it enough, takes a little getting used too but its solid as a rock for me
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

    +1 for 8.1.

Start8 for those that can't get used to Metro.
