Advice What would you do? Phishing culprit potentially identified

I was going through the usual daily list of spam emails in Outlook when I spotted one from Apple...

It was a phishing email addressed to my personal work email address, spoofed very well and with the subject title 'Apple ID Temporarily Locked'. Hovering over the URL text 'Validate My Apple/iCloud Account Details' within the email, I made a note of the .co.uk domain it was pointing to:

    https://<URL HERE>/myappleaccountmessageview-ticketid8912380357849182-wua-secureapple/?email=<my email address here>

A basic whois lookup provided me with the individual full name and address of the owner, who also happened to register the domain with 123-reg the same day I got the phishing email - today 13/7/14. I have notified abuse@123-reg.co.uk and attached the orginal email for their attention.

Do you think anything will come of it? Would a hacker be that stupid? Perhaps this guy (domain owner) is the victim of credit card fraud? Should I rally the DF troops and get some payback??

I've had quite a few over the Months. . .I doubt the poor sap you identified is much more than a victim, let the Old Bill deal with it. . .they take Cyber Crime more seriously than Granny Bashing!
Start on the trail of vengeance and you'll come off worst, best eaten cold and all that.
    If at first you don't succeed.....redefine success. . . .

    Thanks to blaggard

Is that sarcasm? Because if they did give a shit, it wouldn't have fallen down to ZX7R to sort this. Remember the thread with Dannyboy and the bike?

I may think differently in the future - thanks for showing your great result.
