Default Best original movies you never watched?

Guys, I'm looking to compile of about 20 movies for a work event that list of the best original non horror movies that have modern remakes.

To give a couple of ideas:
    Old Boy
    Taxi (98 Luc Besson version)

Any favorites or just good movie titles appreciated.

Can only think of a few off the top of my head, but there's a huge list here :

Was there a modern remake of Reservoir Dogs?

Musta missed that... any good? I doubt.

I'm sure all those are movies that shouldn't be remade.
Masterpieces that would be ruined by anyone attempting to make them better.

The only one I can think of is Scarface.

    Some crackers here though -

Don't think any on that list have remakes.

    Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy.
Battle Royale, piss poorly remade as The Hunger Games
The Raid Redemption, piss poorly remade as Judge Dredd
    Robocop

    Thanks to BertRoot

    Cape Fear
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a remake of a film called Bedtime Story
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

Assault on Precinct 13 had a rubbish modern remake. The Carpenter version was actually inspired by Rio Bravo as well.
    3:10 to Yuma
    Pusher had a British remake
The Day the Earth Stood Still
True Lies was a remake of a French film Le Totale
    Disturbia (Rear Window)
    Insomnia

Reservoir Dogs was kind of a remake of City on Fire, a Chinese/Hong Kong film but I don't think Jokah has really grasped the intention of the thread.

    Thanks to WalterPill

I could have sworn "that have modern remakes" was not at the end of that original sentence. Oh well. My bad. I was thinking of originals that didn't have remakes! But then why would the OP have posted Oldboy. Either way I feel like an idiot now.

I'll throw Infernal affairs in there (The departed) to try and redeem myself.

    2 Thanks given to Jokah

I found this list already, but just couldn't be hacked going through them all.
