I love my chromebook, and have barely turned my Win laptop since i got one.

If you like to keep on the cutting edge, you can run it in Beta or Dev mode (all new features come out on these modes first)

And keep track of what Francois posts here - https://plus.google.com/+FrancoisBeaufort/posts - its usually some really cool shit!

I've got a black HP Chromebook 11 and use it far more than I thought I would. I used to use a tablet (occasionally with a Bluetooth keyboard) prior to this, but it's all but replaced it.

I originally got it as I just needed a device with a proper keyboard when travelling, but didn't need the size or 'bloat' of a full laptop and was also swayed by the charging being USB so one less charger I need to take. For me this is working out to be a pragmatic, low maintenance and very portable solution for under £200.

Some reviews say that it gets asthmatic with more than four windows open, and it certainly seemed this way with the older version of Chrome that are running on demo machines in PC World etc... The latest version they pushed out has fixed this completely, and I would say it's not noticeably slower than on my PC which is a big ask as the Chromebook is only running a Samsung Exynos CPU compared to an Intel i5 in the PC.

It's not perfect, but paired with an Android phone (and embracing the Google cloud way of thinking) it's possible to do 95% of the stuff I used to need a full PC for without fuss or hassle, and 100% of the stuff that's important in my work and personal life.

    Hope this helps.
