    Default Baby Ginetta

The main photographer guy at work is off on his hols so they asked me to take some shots of the new Ginetta they've just taken delivery of.
Apparently, they'll be using it for racing soon
I'm no expert at photography and had to take it into Photoshop to play with it - adjusted the colour balance and contrast and added blur to the background and a lighting effect. I was quite pleased with the end result.

I'm loving this car, watch them on TV they're awesome racers with 13 year old or whatever they are. Oh! and the Photos not bad either.

    Thanks to ViSaGe

Lovely car and photo, i'm not a great fan of blur in post processing, you've done a great job but i always prefer to get the blur at the time shooting if possible.

    Thanks to ilscuro

Thanks, I can see your point however I had to take this with a Nikon D4 and it took me all my time to switch the fecker on! Never mind my distinct lack of knowledge to photography
I think I'd still be there now if I had to play with all the settings.
Luckily, the settings the photographer guy left it on worked otherwise I may have got my phone out

I've edited my original post to show the original, kindof a before and after. Would be interested to hear what people would have done differently.

These are the settings the guy left it on:

    Model: Nikon D4
    Lens: 24.0-85.0 mm f/2.8-4.0
Focal Length: 50.0 mm (in 35mm: 50.0 mm)
Exposure: 1/25 sec; f/14; ISO 400 - Aperture priority; Matrix metering

I would probably have gone for a desaturate over a heavy blur, but thats just personal preference. Shot is quite nice.

Nice, so you desaturated a background selection and added a soft blur?
Will give that a go me thinks, really brings out the blue

I was thinking I'd blurred it a little heavy, especially wished I'd left some detailing on the floor leading towards the camera.

If only that damn reflection in the windscreen wasn't there I would have been happier

Will have to play Monday now though as the NEF file is on my computer at work
