Truly unlimited broadband?

Looking to leave Sky as I'm sick of giving them £75 a month, are there any other providers that offer proper unlimited broadband, none of this FUP crap?

Not bothered about TV as I hardly watch it anyway, and no fibre broadband here until at least the end of March.

Appreciate that I could stay with Sky and downgrade my package, but I just quite fancy a change.

Worth a punt , if they call ya bluff just ring back up tomorrow and say you changed your mind . If u have no movies or sports but do have multi room ask about multi room lite , £5 a month if on basic . They whacked it on my account for life and it never changed when I went back to sports .

I'm on be* and couldn't argue I use 20-30gb a day and they've never said a word, i'm getting 23mb down and 1.5ish up and only paying about £14 a month although I think its gone up since I joined

no packet shaping, limits or throttling tbh I'd pay double for the same service if I had to

And if am being honest since moving from adsl 24 (non llu) sky llu ain't really cutting it speed wise compared. But at least it's unlimited .

you could go the plusnet route considering theyre claiming to be unlimited and in my area they are offering 75ish down and quite a bit up but it means going to plusnet and the past I dont think im the only one to be burned by them, honestly I wouldn't feel right recommending them based on my previous encounter and then theyre charging a lot more than the £14ish im paying to be*

the way I look at it is that if I were sat infront of it waiting for a film or tv shows to download then I think id pay more and get something in the 70mb range but im out at work and most of my downloads are via sabnzb so they're waiting for me when I get home I barely think about the speed of the internet any more to tell you the truth if I were to pay another provider £20+ a month for 70 odd down I wouldnt notice the difference

If you can get LLU I would go with Xilo broadband, I just joined them from SKY a month ago and I get full speed at ALL times, if you are interested give me a pm.

Still haven't got round to changing, but have just checked BT's website, and I can now get fibre broadband, hurrah!!!

So now it's between Sky and BT, any recommendations? I MUST ring Sky and see what they can offer me, lol!

PS, can I still use my Billion 7800N with infinity, or will I have to use the one the ISP gives me?

Worth a look at plus net fibre their unlimited 76mb is 19.99 with first 6 months half price at 9.99.

45 minutes on the phone to Sky later, and I'm sorted, ha ha!

Getting fibre installed on the 26th of Feb, just 40mb for now, but with the option to upgrade at any time, still better than my current 13mb or so.

Getting £5 a month discount on my line rental, and £5 a month on my TV package, brings my bills down to just about exactly what I'm paying now, but with 3x faster broadband, free installation, and a free Sky Hub!

Did you have to haggle for the freebies or did they offer them all as a deal?

My contract ends mid march so i can call this wend to give my 30 days notice. I have tv, phone and broadband with sky and have been looking at the BT youview packages and BT's speed checker reckons i could get 50-60mb speeds.

I initially said I wanted to cancel and go with BT, so he searched through the system for offers on my account and came back with that, better than nothing anyway. If you want the faster version of fibre, it's an extra tenner a month, and I couldn't justify it, maybe next year...

If i get offered the same i think i'll push for the faster fibre, as BT's infinity 2 tv, broadband package (76mb) works out about what i'm paying sky now..

Rang Sky today to see if I could wangle another deal, nothing doing so I cancelled, I really do need another ISP this time around...

Think I'm looking to go for 76mb this time around, although 38mb would probably do. EE, Plusnet, BT, and TalkTalk all do unlimited fibre in my area too.
