What DVD/blue ray drive? [URGENT]

Hi,

I have a LG BL GGW-H20L drive which hasn't worked from day one and the supplier and LG refuse to help which is unlike them.

Anyway I need to order a new drive today. What would you recommend?

Are Pioneer still the best?

Blu-ray lasers are very sensitive to static etc. I haven't bothered with a blu-ray burner myself as all my stuff is digital but when I was going to make my own blu-ray laser I read about how easily the diodes can die.

My 2 year old blu-ray burner is still going strong. The price of blu-ray disks are extremely cheap - less than £12 per TB - so I wouldn't write them off as a storage medium.

It's more about convenience, network drives are so much easier and raid/UPS keeps the data fairly safe.
