Laptop RAM & HDD and PC DVD-R Drive

Bloody kids holidays!
Ex-missus just informed me my kids systems are playing up already so in need of a couple of bits.

A 2.5" SATA Drive around 60GB and some more RAM for her laptop (she's still only sporting 1GB ATM). 1GB or 2GB of PC3-8500 will be more than enough, it's only a Facebook surfer that she plays Minecraft on.

Also need a 5.25" DVD-R Drive for my sons PC, his no longer opens.
It does get extensive use though. Might be worth mentioning his is IDE, but I believe there are SATA ports available on his Mobo.

Let me know what you've got and what you want for them. Cheers.

I'll dig my gear out and check. I'll update you in a bit. Update I've got three unused laptops here/at my mums, i'll dig them out and if I have those parts you can have them.

It's also pretty simple to service the drives, take it apart, grease the mechs and put the drive belt in almost boiling water for a few minutes then refit.

I might give it a go, but not sure I have the confidence for it. I'm usually pretty good, but last time I tried springs went flying everywhere out of my boys XBox360 one and couldn't work out where everything went!
