Butterfly & Moth tonight

The butterfly was dozing under a leaf - which proved difficult to get to, as I didn't want to disturb in the cold air of the night, so did what I could to get a couple of close up shots. The moth was on a twig of the apple tree. Very patient at night are moths. It gave me a good few minutes to work the shots to show it off. I think it may be a dagger moth, but I'm not sure.

Love them mate.. do you use a soft box on the night shots? I have a ringlight/flash but no diffuser and the light often seems harsh

Lovely shots mate. You're getting particularly good results out of that 100L and light is really nice in all of these.

Yeah - I have a softbox on now, not as good as Ian's, but it now has an extra layer of diffusion on it (cheers Ian) to help control the light a bit more.
