Got home today from a lovely letter from Mr (I'm a cunt) Branson Apparently my broadband is going up £1.50 per month from 1st October.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Yup me as well. Think a call to retentions is needed
Just use enough water to cover your vegetables, the same goes for when you're having a bath....
Same here, although I hate those foreign call centers. Can never get through to someone who understands your situation
Mr B does not actually own VM!

Gonna take this route myself in the near future... never watch anything but free view channels and only need broadband.. still a bit of contract time left but they tell you if you cancel the line for instance, your bill will go up!
I have a second Virgin box in the bedroom I've never used!
It's getting near "pull the plug time"..

Or even better use your feed on a Q5 box for £50

anyone else getting another increase in february £3.84 here and i still cant get btinfinity, adsl here i come
They've been slowly bumping mine up every six months over the last 2 years. Called them up the other day asking why I was paying more than new clients and not getting 150mbit when I was told I would get it when available. They tried to charge me for the new router (craphub 2) and yes the whole retentions dance put me back on the same price as new customers and free craphub2. Couldn't be arsed pushing for six months half price or whatever it just gets tiring with being transferred between departments - im sure they rely on this.
I just got the letter saying £4.50 per month increase. I was going to remove baby TV sub so it works out about even but still....

Its just business. They need to increase revenue, so the can maintain and increase profits and some of it will be invested back into the business to bring out better services.
The best thing is we know if you ring up they will reduce your price other that don't are subsidising the services more.
Any business will keep doing this until people refuse to pay and go elsewhere, with virgin they provide the fastest consumer broadband so have an advantage over the others like BT etc.
