    Hi
they told me same shit, said I had "debris" rather than one stone. they said keyhole surgery and I be out soon, maybe that night. consutlant said caused 100% by shit diet and being a fatso (now working on both these). I was not fully aware of my surroundings till 48 hours after opp as they said gall bladder was hard and full of puss and they had to be opened up, so apart from 4 tiny holes (one in belly button) I also got a 9" scar across my belly, was in 9 days and it was fucking sore - they say keyhole failure happens to about 25% of men, much less in women. the worst bit by a country mile was when they got me back at end to pull the "bile drain" out after almost 3 weeks, it was like getting kicked in the balls by a clown.
I hope this doesnt happen with you but it could. after its removed you will unlikely ever do a solid shit again unless you eat a diet of zero fat, other than this you will feel pretty much better than the hellish pain you get from the stone/s
If the keyhole works you will feel well again in about 4-6 weeks, if it goes tits up like mine they said 6 months but was more like a year.
Its a bit late now m8 but if you are a fatty then its best to lose as much as you can before the surgery.
    good luck m8

A friend of mine had his removed just 4 weeks ago. He has crones and had solid bile in his bladder. He has been in pain for years and has been suffering from heart burn or reflux for as long as I can remember. He had his bladder removed and was out then next day. Full Key hole with no complications. He was sore and had five puncture wounds in his chest and stomach including the belly button.. but within a day or two he was back to work, albeit in slight discomfort. Four weeks later and he can now eat and drink what he likes. His diet is far worse than before! but no more chest pain and so far no more reflux issues. He has a new lease of life and the food restrictions he had before owing to reflux have disappeared. He now enjoys red wine and curry which he couldn't have gone near before. He is no longer sore and has no after effects.. just for the record, hes a big bloke and is certainly knocking on the door of 17 stone.

Good luck mate, I hope yours goes as well as his.

A friend ha hers done in the spring. She was out the same day and the painkillers took care of everything for next few days. She was a little sore after that and slept on the couch for a week but otherwise was fine. Within the month she was back to normal. Her op was done privately, don't know how much difference that makes though, other than wait time.

As regards the non solid shit issue, my daughter had the same after hers was removed and now chews calcium carbonate tablets.. they bind to the bile and stop the looseness.. odd thing was that her surgeon had never heard of it being used for this purpose but she discovered it via the web...

Had mine out a couple of years ago - keyhole and back out the same same day. Had no problems at all since. Got the 4 scars around the chest and stomach but no other problems at all.

Was signed off for 3 weeks but went back early.

As for the shit thing.. nonsense.. a very small % of people have problems but I was still eating cr@p for years after and never had any problems.

Hope the op went well and you're on the way to getting better

Reading this though makes me think that maybe I've got stones or something

Around 10 years ago I started suffering from Acid Reflux constantly, I had given up smoking not long before and ate a lot of shit to replace the cravings, pasties, crisps etc .. all used to give me acid, went from a 34 waste to a 42 .. didn't help that I worked security to get me through Uni and my meals were basically either bought from the Petrol Station or ready meals or junk. Woke up one morning and was in agony, rushed to A&E and found it to be pancreatitis .. basically given morphine and a drip, couldn't eat or drink other than sips of water for days. All the Doctors kept asking me in hospital was how much alcohol did I drink, at the time it was next to none so that wasn't the cause. Had an ultrasound scan and they said it was OK but had a fatty liver.
Was given tablets that completely removed the acid, went and had a camera down the throat (scared shitless of sedation so was the worst experience of my life, if you have one .. get knocked out!) and they said I had Hiatus Hernia. Also gave me a huge pack of antibiotics, 4 different types to take 3 times a day.

    Life went on.

My diet got better over the years and I also left the ex-wife gutterslut which made me try and take better care of myself so I could get me some nice poon on the dating sites. About 6 years ago went out for a meal, was Cantonese I think and had about 5 pints .. woke up in the night and I knew what was coming .. same again pancreatitis. Same drill as before.

To have it twice suggests to me that there is a problem and I read that gallstones are usually the cause but my Doctor has said that it was classed as idiopathic .. which basically means - we have no feckin idea.

I'm a lot healthier now, cycle to work and back every day, play sports, eat less shit but threads like this make me think that I should push for some sort of check-up.

home & resting, should of took 1.5 hours under the knife but ended up 3.5 hours, still only keyhole surgery, i have 5 small holes in my chest & abdomen, spent night in hospital. came out about 4pm on friday.
up and about ok but in a bit of pain. apparently there was 8 stones in total the the complication was the bladder had a lot of tissue attached to it. thats why i was under for so long, they busted my bottom lip some how, it looks like i been punched in the face.lol.
i had a 2 foot tube sticking out of the side of my body about 8 inches to drain fluids, thankfully nothing much came out, i shouted so load in the ward yesturday when the nurse pull the tube out, top of my voice shouting mother fucker.lol.
the guys in the beds next to me pissing themselves laughing, i didnt expect the amount of pain from pulling that tube out, it was like an 8 second paper cut between your fingers, closest i could describe it.

The extra two hours and the burst lip was actually from the porno they were shooting while you were under. You're a star now.

one thing that puzzles me is(it sounds strange) when i fart or take a shit my ars cheeks feel numb as if i have had anesthetic spray on my ars cheeks, is the gas they fill my stomach with anesthetic based or th anesthesia coming out of my system
