Default Making one working Nokia Lumia 520 from 2 broken phones.

I've been given 2 phones that are identical.

One has been thrown and the battery contacts ripped off. The other has a faulty Sim Tray.
The one with the damaged Sim Tray works great apart from it obviously cannot detect a Sim.

I haven't been able to test the other as the battery terminals are ripped off, but I reckon replacing them should get it working again.

My guess would be easier to remove the Battery contacts and swap them, although I cannot seem to source them from eBay, but I'm not sure of the difficulty removing it.

    Thoughts?

Are the pins on the sim tray bent? It looks like it's just the metal surround that's at fault, could that be swapped out easier than the battery pins?

The Sim Tray hos got 2 missing pins (through the holes).
The thing I'm worried the most about with the Battery contacts is they have been ripped off and I'm not 100% sure if the tracks are intact anymore.

Great find those replacements though, cheers!

Not for definite, but I'm informed it was sourced from a friend who upgraded - was on a Vodafone contract, but is unlocked (Carrier: CV GBIE).

What's the best way to approach getting this thing off MM?

Shield off all mainboard and using hot air rework and iron you should be able to remove the sim reader

    Thanks to Mobileman
