    Default Windows 9

maybe its time for a new section to cover windows 9

after reading all the internets best whispers and leaks it seems most agree on a sept 2014
release for the preview version and prices vary from free to $20 if you have windows 8.

also I have read some things users want to see in windows 9, what would you like to see
appear in the new windows, apart from a start bar that is.

also it seems it will install diff on a tablet than it will on a desktop, that's good imho as
losing metro for a start bar on an 8 inch tablet would be a big disaster.

    thoughts ??.

Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean
    the same thing?

    WTF so soon ? Really
I suppose they want to quickly cover up the Windows 8 failure, personally have no problem with it but the masses clearly do

If it's anything like 8 then they can ram it.

In Win 8, Actually most things are more efficient than on 7 .
its the GUI that we all hate .

From xp to vista to 7 the GUI remained virtually unchanged .
but vista was crap because of the indexing system made it run like mud

win8 is faster than 7 on the same hardware
The GUI in 8 ain't such a sore head to new users , ie anyone that's not been on windows from win95 .

The 9 upgrade from 8.1 will be part of the blu project so I would imagine it won't be full price to upgrade .

The cynic in me suspects this will be their way of actually getting people onto Windows 8/9.

At the moment everyone I know prefers 7 and I haven't met a single person face to face who prefers (or even happily tolerates) 8. However once 7 has been superceeded twice, apps will start coming out that don't work on 7. When that starts happening people will be forced to move over.

In the past I used to always look forward to new versions of Windows and run them as beta's as soon as available. After they just tried to turn my computer into a smart phone, I can't even be arsed reading about Win 9 and I doubt I will see it until someone buys a Win9 machine, breaks it, then brings it to me.

3 Thanks given to Over Carl

Don't get me wrong guys I hate it with a passion .
but iv seen kids/noobs that can navigate it without thinking .
and you can skin 8 to be like win7 without tiled front end if you want
    x64 win8 is faster than win7 x64 , by a shitty mile ...

For a user it may be better but as a tech it is much much worse. Getting to safe mode is a bitch if you can't boot to the OS, making the advanced boot menu so hard to access was a stupid move. But if they stay true to leapfrogging form this will be a decent OS, will run in a VM to test out.
