Depends on what you like to do or are interested in really. Obvious tourist landmarks are a good place to start but its all down to preference. Narrow it down a bit?

Camden town is pretty 'happening' these days, good for food, markets, 'culture' and street photography ops. South bank is always nice for a walk, lots of photo ops and famous buildings. Museums in kensington if that's your kind of thing. Oxford street/tottenham court road for 'upmarket' shopping.

I wouldnt bother with the O2 centre/cable cars/madam tussauds area. Its more out the way an theres not much to see or do.

Licester square, china town, tottenham court road etc are all walkable from the same area but its just full of eateries and places to shop.

    Uh.

The squares - leicester square, trafalgar square which is close to st Pauls and the tate modern. It's all nice really.

Just make sure you dont go drinking in Camden, last time I was there I was paying £5.50 per pint. Safe to say I didnt have many to drink. London Zoo is always a good choice Or the London Eye.

Gilgamesh is fine matey, It's over priced and pretentious and full of hipsters and becky types but the food is pretty good and the décor is cool.

Alas, once you're in central, a fiver-pint is the standard price for any place.

In these situations it's all about the prinks.

Just go out of your accomodation, walk and explore. Waterloo is right on the water, lots of bridges, arty places, shopping on the other side of the bridge, food, street music. There are often lots of street exhibitions and street performers there, due to the surrounding buildings. Lavly.

London Eye is not to far from your location and worth a trip.

Burger vans and burger joints are going through a revolution at the moment.

Maybe try to get a Shake Shack experience in or a Five Guys. Failing that try to hunt down one of the burger vans, Bleekerburger is the one to find!

Big bus tours. £24 and you get unlimited bus trips and boats trips for the whole day. Both have live commentary which is fascinating. Check out the route on the web. You will be surprised how many Brits are on it!
