Walnut Orb Spider

I had one of these living in my old bird table a couple of summers back, and moved her to the new bird table last year when we disposed of the old table. I never saw her again after that day - so I assumed she had moved to another part of the garden, or maybe reached old age and perished anyway.


I was pleased to go out in the garden late last night for a look around to find her once again (or maybe a solitary offspring?) once more on the (new) bird table. Means I may get further opportunity t photography this delightfully marked, not often seen, spider.
