Oddly, I was talking to a mate at work yesterday about USA phonecalls on my 0044 ekit SIM which gives you a Global mobile out of the box for international roaming but also gives the option to get a USA mobile number. There's a premium to them and my mate, who goes on his hols there almost every year, told me he just bought a payg phone over there and that most deals include international calls as well as whatever talktime etc you buy. Probably worth looking at US providers if it could be a regular thing.

Other than that, 3 have the 'Feel at Home' deal that uses your inclusive allowance in a few countries including the USA. 3 Website

Another vote for '3 feel at home' if it does in fact include the USA, i hammer my phone when i'm in Italy and my monthly bill is the same as if i was 'at home'

Same here I have a three mobile contract sim but I was in Florida for 3 weeks and the data speeds where nothing like three uk but where ok, if you have a 4G phone it will only register at 3G, just be careful because you will get charged for making calls to numbers in the USA, ringing a UK number including a mobile data text will all be covered by you allowance..

The 3 deal is superb for frequent visitors to the US. I have just moved over to them in anticipation of our next trip, and 3 out of the 4 of us in the house are now with 3.
Previously we have bought $30 pay as you go phones out there and used them to phone home no problem, but they don't allow overseas text messages.

Buy a payg sim over there? Although the deal spyke mentioned seems like a no brainier/won't be beaten by a us sim.

Lad25, this is the deal I got http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/thre...a-3000-1957835 unfortunately it's expired at the moment. argos were doing them for around a £10 too at the time.

Data only for under £5, ideal for tablets http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/5491298.htm
