The new Doctor

What are your thoughts on the new doctor .

after the first few episodes I did not think he was going that well,last nights episode tho I thought was really good

I liked the way it was set just round 3 people well written and based around fear

He may be not every ones cup of tea especially the younger generation but if the story's are well written he might get more than one season

He's refreshingly different, although I may biast as I'm a fan of Capaldis anyway. It always takes some adjustment for new doctors (maybe except from Matt Smith who was written as a Tennant clone) so I think he just might need a bit more time to get used to.

He has been written as a lot more alien and they seem to be playing more towards sarcasm this series, which is OK I suppose.

Great actor, likeable but doesn't quite have the presence that most of the past doctors have had (I never realised how wee he was).

I am from the generation of old Doctors any way so don't bother he is older it's whether the the young generation will take to him

im not feeling it at all, he has no presence or charisma. a fail imo.

On the fence so far. But im hating how the plot thickens with these other beings that you keep seeing at the end. I bet you wont see what's going on till the last episode

didn't think it would like him but better than the last idiot. But again they are doing a single story episode with a very slight underlying story line, like they did with the crack and suddenly Karen Gillan was giving birth on a spaceship.

Just need to be more direct and bring the back story to the prominant

i like him, he seems more like the older doctors which i prefer, really loving the darker feel

He's ok'ish as the doctor but what I dislike is the shite story lines.

Finished this off last night and I thought ending was poor. As above its cos they didn't flesh the story out over the whole series just little titbits at end of some episodes and then had to stuff the whole story and its ending into 2 episodes :-(

As a doctor he is better than the last idiot but I don't think they could of done worse

He is definitely a step up from Matt Smith ...But the major problem is the writing . Take Clara for instance (and i would in a heartbeat ) she is an assistant but half the time she knows more than the doctor ....he is supposed to save her not the other way round ... The thing is David Tennant set the bar so high no one will ever match up to him ... he is king of the Doctors
