    Default Best Anti Virus

Got a 4 year old Laptop that was running slow, so wiped it and re installed Windows 7 enterprise.

It's not too bad with 2.8 GHZ Quad core and 4GB ram with 500GB HD.

So don't want to load it with a load of shitty software, but what's the best Anti Virus that's effective without taking control over everything.

It's all down to personal preference. Discussed on here many-o-times.

The ones that lead the pack are ESET, Avast or MSE. Depending on whether you want to pay for one or not.
ESET Trial keys are available all over the place.

If you're going to pay for one, get Kaspersky. Avoid McAfee and Norton like the plague.

Just make sure your running Malwarebytes (free or Pro) and your golden.

Eset smart security all the way for me, with malwarebytes premium if budget permits. I wouldn't pay for any other security suite.

Sound cheers boys. Always had AVG Free for years. Trying Avast now, with Malwares too.

Defo malwarebytes. Mines paid for. Used to use eset with no probs, now use bullguard - no issues to report

Another one here for Avast and Malware Bytes. Keeps my devices free from crap and I often recommed both apps to other people as they're solid.

During the day I work with Sophos and I've seen things 'slip through the net' a few times even with that! McAfee I won't even get into, utter shit.
