okay just a heads up for those of u that are interested the keynote is tomorrow at 6pm gmt
i dont reallly pay attendion to all the leaks etc, i just wait till the event then if i think is worth it ill order it!!!
apple is gonna be live streaming it as well as the usual live feeds for the obvious websites

sadly, it isnt, I show people my LG G2 and even though it costs less than a year old, slower and smaller iphone, people still couldn't give 2 fucks about it. The iphone 4S still sells here at a higher price than many top end brand new android phones.

Lg g3 , Sony z3 and z3 compact are all great contenders and Samsung s6 won't be long away the fact that iTunes is getting worse by each release IMO then I'm tempted to go back to android if the 6 doesn't deliver

If android had a service like Imessage i would probably move. I know there is WHATS APP and the likes but a standard one.. built into the phone etc..

I am still on the 5 as the S models seem pointless for the money involved so I will be ordering the 6 tonight when it goes live on the Apple site. I just can't get on with Android (as much as I would like to) and iOS is still a wicked OS imo, shame about having to JB to get the most out of it but I am still happy with it.

good read. been a convert to Samsung S4 for a couple of years now, Just got my shiny new one plus one which i love, Android does take a bit getting used to but once you've had a bit of time with it it out performs ios for me.

I am interested in this tonight. My 4s is struggling now and I am due an upgrade.
I like to get as much life out of them as possible before grabbing the latest model.

A new phone is more appealing to me than a new FIFA every year.. That is something that seriously bores me...

What I am looking for in the phone is a better screen than my 4s and a better camera, plus 4G.
It has to be an iPhone because I have invested a lot in apps and also FaceTime for the family and iCloud are great for our uses.

So, an annual iPhone event is up there on my interest list. Android however throw new devices out every 20 seconds and always fail to do what my Apple products can.

LOL spoken like a true fanboi. What can an iphone do that an android handset can't, ridiculas statement? The reason there are so many android handsets is because it's an open platform that anyone can use. There are more manufacturers developing android handsets so it's common sense to think there might be more phones on offer.

Back on topic, the keynote is usually a whoop fest from the Americans, it's kind of comical. I watch it just to see what ideas have been taken from the jailbreak community or what they've ripped off of Android this time around (pull down notification bar, wireless sync etc). Apple used to innovate, now they just shamelessly copy.

And before you call me an android fanboi, yes I know!

FaceTime trumps Skype. I know Skype is not Android exclusive but it is much easier to use FaceTime rather than Skype on the iPhone and in our family we use it on a daily basis to keep in touch (many siblings working abroad etc).

I have tried android, I really have. I was an Apple hater in the early days but Android just failed to catch up with Apple back then. Some of the devices I like the looks of. The waterproof Sonys for example or the LG handsets with the scroll wheel in the back.

But it's always Apple we go back to. They are a lot 'cleaner' and easier to use.

My Mrs and her mates are adamant that their Apples have began messing up to push them towards an upgrade. Slowing the devices down, not sending/receiving Imessages etc.

I've told her they're all bat shit crazy, but, maybe, just maybe...

iMessage has never worked 100%
I tried the beta desktop version and it was flakey. Then using on multiple devices started to cause problems and still does not always sync.

I don't always rely on it but you can fall back to text. To be honest for the messaging What's App is a better solution.

What's so difficult about video calls using hangouts?

If family chats are important to you why not use hangouts?.. you can have up to 10 people chatting at once..
