Not much point, the full assembly is cheap now, think it's under £40 so I would opt for that if I were you mate.

I've done both repairs and without question the full lcd assembly replacement is a superior repair but if your very careful and take your time the glass repair is a cheap fix. Just make sure you get it hot enough or you can break the lcd easily!!

The LCD is touchscreen with the S3. The Digitiser will always be fine even if the glass is completely missing.

I've changed a fair few of these and I always recommend replacing with a bonded screen/LCD as as above, it's far superior - but alot more expensive.

Glass can be sourced for £6.
Bonded LCD/Glass around £75 - cheaper than this will usually be knockoffs and not gorilla glass.

Gorilla glass usually has a bonded glue film substance below it as shown in this YT Vid.

Funny enough I've just ordered my missus a new one after I tried to remove the LCD from the Bezel to replace the Bezel only... didn't go well.
She's know got an immaculate phone without an LCD - that cannot be source individually as far as I can tell.

A new phone is only 99 pounds if you have the proper sim at carphone warehouse on payg

Its still a brilliant phone and can run most things these days .especially with a custom ROM
