WDTV live streaming media player. This is the one with Wifi.

Has been faultless and only selling because I've moved to a full HTPC set up.

It's happy playing via wifi, lan shares, usb etc.

Lol your edit crossed with my post. No plex app unless it's arrived in an update since I last used it. Why would you need it though ? You can play any shared content on your lan with proper controls. I've always found plex doesn't control too well (ffwd rwd etc.). Up to you tho.

I was quick off the mark. Can i just do some research about how i'd get my N54L running plex all hooked up etc? Will confirm before the end of today if that's ok. Don't want to muck you about though.

Regarding your micro server, depending on what os is running, just share the directories that contain your media. Wdtv will find them no problem.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking as I'm not a plex user. The player does present itself on the lan as a client where media can be sent.
