just watched last nights episode, allot better than last weeks, & next weeks looks even better, i will stick with it till the end, i think it will kick up a gear in the next few episodes.

im sure they have addressed this somewhere, that blood alone wont turn you, you need the bite to do that, might have been in the comic im not sure

I don't think they should have shown it and not cover it then. He didn't even have a wound in later scenes.

One of the producers (Nicotero) has confirmed Abe doesn't die from the scratch. It was pretty much regarded that it was saliva/bacteria from the walker's mouth that carried the virus, hence it being a bite that turns you, not the blood, otherwise you'd expect to see people worrying about spray back from a kill, blood spattered knives and crossbow arrows in their mouth. But Robert Kirkman said "The rule is WHATEVER it is that causes the zombies, is something everyone already has. If you stub your toe, get an infection and die, you turn into a zombie, UNLESS your brain is damaged. If someone shoots you in the head and you die, you're dead. A zombie bite kills you because of infection, or blood loss, not because of the zombie "virus."

Bob's comment about being 'tainted meat' goes against that somewhat but it was only his idea as don't forget, very early on in the show (at the Centre for Disease Control) we're told everyone is already infected, and reanimation will happen simply from death anyway, unless the brain is destroyed.
Not every walker you see has been bit. The guy who hung himself turned, people who've starved to death turned, there was a kidnap victim in the boot of the car that had died in there and had reanimated etc. But no one at Terminus died from eating flesh and Michonne smeared herself in blood whilst suffering from a wound herself which reinforces the fact that exposure to blood alone doesn't turn them. It's the bite and the elevated infection that follows.

That's pretty cool, hadn't noticed those nods before. Not sure how I would feel about a cross over season if AMC decided to cash in on this, I doubt the original plan was to do this though and likely just an 'in' joke.

we noticed the blue crystal meth but I didn't realise they were both AMC to be honest.

Walter whites meth was that good it literally turned people into zombies!!!!
