computer wont see my tomtom

hi cant seem to get computer to see my tomtom it charges it but does not recognise it in my computer any ideas plz

What model is it? Some of the newer Tom Toms aren't recognized by Windows and only work with the My Tomtom program - has your computer ever recognised it?

Is Windows doing nothing when you plug it in? Is it listed in Device Manager?
I think they usually get added as Removable Drives.

If it isn't recognised in device manager try a different cable, USB port and if poss a mates computer. As northern bloke mentioned, install the tomtom software first.

had tomtom home on pc just dosnt see it at all and its a tomtom via 135 m

Ooops I forgot the My Tomtom program was renamed to MyDrive - basically there's nothing you can do with it apart from pay for almost everything from Tomtom - AFAIK there are no hacks for any of the newer Tomtoms
