Poll Have to surrender a device to a relative. But which one?

I own 2 tablets and the missus has told me I need to donate one to the father-in-law for Xmas. But I cannot decide which one.

I have a rooted 32GB HP Touchpad with Dual-boot of WebOS and KitKat that comes with the official HP Case and induction charge dock. No card slot for storage upgrade.

I also have an unrooted Acer Iconia A500 on Ice Cream Sandwich with official case that is incapable of charging via USB, is only 16GB, but is of a slightly higher specification. It also sports a mini HDMI out, USB port and SD card slot.

Both tablets are of about the same age (Early 2011).

    THE COMPARISON

The father-in-law is only going to be surfing Facebook Selling pages and eBay maybe once or twice a week, so I want to keep the better option for myself (of course).
Which should I give to my father-in-law and why?

I like rubbing them both... at the same time. But the missus won't let me.

I suppose the HP 'feels' better. But the Acer 'is' better.

Keep the hp, will the father-in-law use dual boot, will he know the difference between rooted and unrooted?

The acer sounds more easier to use for him, and the hp more suited to you.

Keep them both-convince the mrs you need them both for different purposes and buy him a cheap one for xmas rather than a second hand cast off!!

Keep the HP. Then get yourself a Nexus 9. That'll learn her for interfering with your tech.
