Overview: Philip Hobbs was back in the big-time last season, notching his first century of winners since 2008/09. Having also landed the second leg of the autumn double on the Flat with Big Easy, Hobbs’ followers may well be licking their lips in anticipation of another good season. It comes as no surprise that Hobbs won the Cesarewitch recently over a marathon trip on the Flat, as he also excels over the longer trips over jumps, as can be seen via his profitable stats:

For instance in Britain, Mullins’ performers in the 13/8 to 9/4 delivered at 152-412 (37%) for a +£35 level stakes profit - here are some more profitable angles based on his runners in both Ireland and Britain:

Overview: It has to be said that last season was a touch disappointing for Noel Meade both in terms of winners and strike-rate, while finding clear angles to follow his string remain hard to nail. However, there were a few clues, namely that Meade struck three times as often in non-handicaps (18%) than in handicaps (6%), while Down Royal continued to prove profitable. It’s also worth noting when first-time headgear was applied, as his runners struck at 10-91 (11%) +£22.
