Default Xb1 and Nas to stream movies

Is there a way to connect a network drive to the XB1 and play vids on media player?

A recent update has added DLNA support to the Xbox One so network streaming is supported via this. (not 100% sure if this has gone live to everyone yet as I'm on the dashboard preview program but if it hasn't it's not far away).

need a DNLA server on your NAS you can find your public folder cos windows media player acts as a DNLA on your laptop. Plex is the usual choice here but don't know what you can run on your NAS.

I run Mezzmo on my windows box and its great ;-) but doubt you get that on your NAS
