Default Android Lollipop GPE Available for HTC One M8 already (Root required)

Yeah, it's been leaked and added to a custom ROM already.
Working really, really well on my M8. Absolutely love it. Google have really come through with the goods in Lollipop!

    More info here.

Credit to HolyAngel @ XDA for cooking it up with SkyDragon. Great ROM! Just flash how you normally would.
Won't be long now til a M7 flavour appears either I shouldn't think.

Do you know if miracast works on this release mate? Having issues getting it to work on ARHD and looking to get it fixed.

Updated my Nexus 5 to Lollipop last night.
There are a few big tweaks, took me 2 hours to find my emails!!
Everything integrated to Gmail - which I didn't want

Sense is OK, but I think Blinkfeed is a tad short of what 'Ok Google' and 'Google Now' is capable of. Plus, in light of the new design, Sense 7 is going to need a complete overhaul to keep up.

Official Release for M8 is yet to be released, but insiders I hinting to early part of next week. Much earlier than the original Jan/Feb 2015 guestimate.

Miracast I guess is under 'Cast Screen' under the pull down menu - personally, I've never used it. But it IS there. I'll try it on my LG TV now.

I've not noticed everything integrated into Gmail. Just my gmail account as is meant to be. You can now add more accounts to Gmail from Outlook/Yahoo etc. A welcomed addition IMO. 'Mail' has gone from my ROM, but I'm certain Playstore can rectify than if need be.

    Thanks to DejaVu

I'm one of the idiots of updated his Nexus 7 to Lollipop thus turning it into a nightmare to use! Its slow laggy and loves NOT allowing me to use quite a few of my apps! Cheers for ruining the best tablet I ever used Google!

    Thanks to ancojo

More than likely your firmware. I had to update from my Sense firmware to GPE Firmware for the battery life and Wifi to improve.

I've seen a few reports of the 2012 nexus 7 having these issues. It's running sweet on my Nexus 4 and 5.

I'll be avoiding this then on my 2012 nexus for a bit.

My wife has the nexus 7 2012 version and updated it when the update was offered. Again like loads of people are saying it runs like a bag of nails.

I upgraded to Lollipop on my Nexus 10. It bricked it. Literally to nothing. I tried the recovery, nothing. Couldn't mount anything. Formatted and Sideloaded the offical release with ADB and Fastboot. Worked perfectly. Nice clean install and it's running very fast, very smooth.

The rule of thumb applies. Update, backup, wipe and factory default it (if you're not using custom roms etc.). "upgrades" never run smoothly in most cases.

    Nice work.

I've actually managed to factory reset it. Couldn't get it to backup first, however. I'm still getting lag, and messages that don't make sense like 'this app isn't installed' and 'this app can't run on this device' etc. I'm going to persevere for a few days and see if it settles down any. Oddly, the wifi radio seems to have improved greatly. It's always been bad at the top of the house which I've always blamed the Superhub for, but I'm getting an almost full signal now.

    Thanks to Zoots
