Hi all, been waiting for this myself, was waiting for sub £100 but need one so I can get rid of my Proliant DL585 G5 and Proliant DL480 G4 x 2 as they sound like a 747 in my small one bed flat. Will be using this as a NAS as well as for CBT training using different VM's. Anyway details as follows:

If you buy the warranty you can claim a further £70 odd back, makes the warranty very cheap but this will cover hardware only.

Yes, but weirdly everyones price has gone up massively!

Bought two days ago from CCL for £179 (so £129 after cashback). CCL price now £350!!!

Although serverplus have fucked up. It's cheaper to get it with a three year warranty included, than it is without one!

To be fair to Serversplus they have been saying on their mail shots that you're better off getting the warranty as essentially you get it for free anyway! This price hike happened last time though when the Gen8 first came out - I wouldn't mind one of those but not at the price they are!

They must have had hundreds of three sitting in a warehouse somewhere!

I think it has ended for the new servers but they usually start again shortly after one expires. Keep an eye on the product page on eBuyer as they will advertise it and also worth using the more up to date thread as this server has been discontinued.
