Tomtom Go 910 map update help.

Can anyone help me with an idiots guide to update my Tomtom GO 910 please, i've updated other Tomtom devices in the past but run into a brick wall with this one.


It's on Navcore 7.903 i believe, i downloaded a map that Russ has posted on here, plus the FastActivate util, backed up first, then copied the new map over to my device, i then used the FastActivate util and it seemed to do something, but when i go to use it i only have the choice of picking, Canary islands, Guam or North america maps, lol my UK map is not selectable?

I believe it's not selectable because it's probably not cracked, which is what i thought the activate util would do?

Anyone help please?

What map version are you using ?
Have you patched the ttsystem file ?
If it's the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland v940.5963 map just posted then it will not work on your navcore.

United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_935_5753
which didn't work.

But i just grabbed
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_935_5745
and was going to try that next.

How exactly and when in the process do i patch the ttsystem file?

With fast activator just use steps 1, 2 & 3


Also have a read of the information supplied with the map downloads :-

United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland v935.5753 (August 2014) 234mb
For navcore versions 9.01* & higher.
ALG, IQ Routes, Cspeech, ASR & HNR


United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland v935.5745 (August 2014) 182mb
For all Navcore versions from v7.4** & higher.
NO - ALG, IQ Routes etc.

Yeah looks like i was using the wrong map doh! I'll try again, thank you.

Still no joy, i think i've worked out what the problem is but not the solution lol

After copying the map United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_935_5745 to my device i use fastactivate, option 1 and 3 work, but option 2 reports 'incomplete map(s) United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-10999.meta .dct error

Check that your map folder is 182mb. Make sure map folder is not inside any other folder. If still having a problem try a different activation tool. If still not working try downloading that map again.

I tried albert's activator, which explains the error a bit better than fastactivate, googled the error i was getting and found a spanish guy who had posted the same problem, nicked his meta.txt file put it on mine and it's working, thanks for your help and patience.
