Shite, my previously slick and pleasure to use tablet is now a dog!
Ha Ha. My son isn't particularly keen either. His updated a couple of days ago.
I've had to erase/reset twice and start from scratch. It's better, but still nowhere near as slick as it was. And it really was. I'm as gutted as you mate.
LolliPOOP they should call it i cant stand it !

No sign of it for Nexus 10 ota yet - think I'll leave it at 4.4.4

When my boy wants to play tapped out, we have to restart the tablet.
Got pwnpad on mine right now, but otherwise I would've stuck L on there. I have it on my 5 and it runs real nice
Just had my G3 update to Lollipop and it's smooth as silk. Improved the phone.
Mine was one of the first gen Nexus 7 models and its turned it into a shile of pite! No sign of them fixing this issue either!
+1 with the g3 update. Phone feels much better now. Misses is hating the update on her nexus 5
Yeah, so is mine. I hadn't clocked Blaggard's title. I think it was being discussed elsewhere too so presumed this was that thread I guess... There's aparently a 5.0.1 fix that can be flashed but I've not looked into it.
In any case, I decided to see what I could do with a bit of web searching and system dabbling. I've disabled everything Google - so Now, Location, Play Books/Music/Newstand etc. Everything I don't use. Similarly system stuff such as NFC. Then I've set the animation transitions to 0 and the background process limit to at most 3 processes. So far, the tablet is usable again. I can actually open Play Store and download an app again. YouTube even works too...
Feature wise is there really any point in doing this on a nexus 7. Gen 1 or Gen 2?
