It'll connect to plex over dlna but if you wanted a plex plugin you should have bought Samsung. Lg do have the exclusive for nowtv though so you'll get an app for that.

good news with people with lg tvs

I looked on the site today and this link here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] when you click on the media link it downloads plex media server so I presume this should all work fine?

There wasn't a native client I could find when I bought one in 2013 so I took it back and got the samsung. The smart share just uses dlna and from my experience couldn't handle subtitles and was awkward brosing through my massive library. People suggested using the browser to get subtitles working but it was too much hassle.

I bought the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] couple of weeks ago. It's a pretty decent TV but my only gripe is calibrating it. At the moment I'm finding the skin tones too plasticy and the amount of settings for changing the picture is mind boggling.

Oh I phoned LG for some guidance as I was finding the 3D a bit of a strain on the eyes. LG said buy a more expensive HDMI cable .

By trial and error I found that switching from left/right to right/left helped.

Hi that's the only thing I'm struggling with. I ran the picture wizard and it's ended up with a worse picture than when I started. Doh

If you have an iOS device, give this a try : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It might be available on Android too but it helped me setup my Panasonic just fine

    Thanks

You tried sticking the model in Google with the word settings? Or have a look on AVForums as someone on there may already have done it. I had a hell of a time setting my Samsung Series 6 Smart TV up but now it is absolutely mint. Cannot believe the difference between that and the five year old Samsung LCD I had.
