iPhone 4s battery

Morning Guys,

I've been give an iPhones 4s by my daughter, my first ios device after years of android, its in good order except the battery is fecked....lasts about 4 hours.

Anyone got any recommendations where to get one from (besides Apple) they seem to range from £2.00 to £30.00 on from 3rd party sellers

When buying a single part it's usually easiest to go to eBay and search for genuine Apple battery and check the sellers feedback. Be careful to not buy a 'genuine battery for Apple iPhone', you are looking for 'Genuine Apple iPhone battery'.

tbh a genuine apple 4s battery will cost you a minimum £8-9 you want it to be sealed in a hard plastic sleeve and other genuine ones under that price wont be new and will have 100's of cycles through them

avoid anything loose packaged as 100% wont be new

also worth noting such options as background refresh save you about 10-15% battery power and its not even required !

Hi Mobileman, can you point me in the right direction on ebay for one of the 4s batteries that is a good one. Its for the wife's phone. I'd rather get the genuine article than the fake one....i've had a look but they all seem to say they are genuine and cost less than a tenner

I bought a replacement from ebay and it came with the tools for £4 and works fine I doubt that it was genuine but it works well.

If you do buy a cheap one dont buy the gold ones they wont last any longer, they wont be any bigger in capacity!
