Default Incorrect storage figures S4 Mini

    Morning,

Anyone help with this at all.

My S4 Mini has 8GB internal memory, but I'm unable to install anything new as it says I've no space.

When checking my storage I get this:

I've hardly anything stored Apps or Media wise on the phone, it's all on the SD, which is 16GB with 5GB free.

    Any ideas?

says you got 630 meg free, the photos are taking up a lot of that memory and so are the apps. not up on this phone but can you move them to another sd card

I would try a factory reset and see where you go from that

lots of people with same issues

there was loads of coverage about the s4 os occupying stacks of space due to the samsung bloatware.

I have the same issue on my S4.

Only way to free up the space iirc is to root and apply a new firmware, without all the samsung crap

I'd backup your pics and factory reset the phone. Im pretty sure you haven't got 97Gb of apps and 58Gb of pictures. Looks like the phones memory could be corrupted.

Update: Thanks for the advise, the reset worked a treat!

Took out and backed up the memory card, and reset the phone itself.

After installing most of the apps back, the battery now lasts a day and half. Before I'd charge at 9am at work, and it'd be 25% by 7pm with light-moderate use. If I didn't charge it at night, it'd be dead by morning, even on power saver.

Yesterday I charged at 9am, by 7pm it was 50+%. Went to bed with 48% and woke up with 41% without using power saving mode. Belting!
