App Notifications

Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can enable notifications from Apps on an S4 Mini.

I don't want pop up notifications, but like on Apple, you can get a little red "1" on the Icon as it's on your phone, like this:

Any idea if this is possible?

Cheers will have alook. Always cautious about using these apps as often they rinse your CPU and battery power. Shame it's not a default option.
