    Just registered.
Interests are any thing computer related but at the moment have a bit of a satnav project. Have an old Tomtom One to which I want to load truck maps.
Have changed the navcore to 8.398 did try 9.702 but it kept crashing. I get the truck setup at the beginning but need truck maps and the knowledge to load them and get them working.
About me, probably old enough to be your dad or even grandpa, used to be a network engineer mostly Cisco stuff, retired know and have lots of spare time.
ps I love really fast rc boats, have about three dozen, at the moment.

    Thanks to clivebenton

Hi Clive and welcome to the forums.

we welcome all that wish to help and support others, but we take a very dim view on those who just want to get the answer they want and run.

read the rules you were sent in your pm box to avoid a ban.
leechers get banned within 2 posts and post boosting is a definite no no.

besides that have a good browse and again welcome to df.
Have you joined the DF discord server. https://discord.com/invite/YajVGQxDaw

    Thanks to Teajunkie

    Hi M8
Its like TJ said, from your interests here it sounds like you will like it here and can help as well as be helped. Unfortunatly people google where to get answers then come here, join, ask for what they need then go never to come back, we feel like whores (well detector does, mexican midget ones mostly)
Please be mindfull of this in your first few weeks, dont be seen to be post boosting (by posting shit posts to get your count up), or to be leeching as I am sure you could be a valued member.
    Best wishes
    LS
Dear Lord, please grant me the ability to punch people in the face over Standard TCP/IP

Welcome to Digital Forums. Forum etiquette is quite high on the list here, like in real life you treat others with respect and you equally get it back. Contributing to the threads with good constructive posts gets you noticed for all the good reasons. with time your post count will go up and you will have full use of the forum. This has been put in place to stop Spammers Leechers and generally 1 post users that want something for nothing, they try and get it and go.

Digital forums has been going years and has a large fan base. some actually pay for the privilege and they get bonuses over non sub people. With time you will build up friends and likewise you will be seen here as someone that can contribute to the DF Community.
    Enjoy your stay
