The point I was making was you put iOS users have to wait but in reality they don't as this is aimed at desktop browser users not iOS users.
I think it refers to this part, I did have the same thought at first though.
You will see a QR code --- scan the code inside of WhatsApp, and you’re ready to go. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone. Unfortunately for now, we will not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform limitations.

Thanks for the post its nice to be able to use a keyboard sometimes to type messages.
Down to the individual how it's used isn't it. I use WhatsApp to send messages to groups and I want everyone to see replies so it pisses on sms. Sometimes typing out loads on the phone isn't much fun. Reckon this will do me fine if it works the way I'd like it to.
Now scanned in on both my work PC and laptop at home.
Would be better if there was a notification extension rather than keep a separate webpage/tab open all the time

This is great. Will help save battery life on my phone
I gave it a go on Friday and it's pretty smart, definitely use it when at work.
Another plus point is it allows you to continue conversations where you can turn your data off if you're running low/out and it's a media intensive conversation.

Absolutely my battery is currently running low but at least i don't feel cut off while trying to keep my phone going.
