Hi All
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this, basically in my living room we have 2 alcoves with a fireplace in the chimney breast (hehe breast)
One the left is my TV and a VM Tivo box and on the right is the Superhub 2 connected to an airport extreme giving the wireless, I also have a Philips Hue lighting system plugged into this and a power line adaptor
Now what I am wanting to do is move all the internet stuff (superhub, ect) to the left side alcove as it doesn't look very nice having all those cables coming off a coffee table, plus if anyone spills something on the table, my entire network could go down!
From what I can see, when the virgin was installed the coax cable comes into the front of the house, through the bedroom, into the living room at the point where the internet stuff is, there appears to be a splitter of some sort screwed onto the skirting board and the cable is split 2 ways. One goes into the superhub and the other just seems to go into the floor. The cable then comes out of the floor next to the left alcove (where the TV stuff is) and then into the TiVo box.
Is this going to be as easy as moving cutting the cable next to the tv stuff and moving the splitter across to the other side, then getting a female/female connector for where the splitter currently is?
Or is it going to be more of a chore to do?
If so I believe I can get virgin to do it for £99, however I'm not going to pay them £99 if it just involves the above!
Many Thanks
Scottio
